Losing weight with the nintendo wii

I must say that after playing on the Wii over the course of almost an entire saturday, my arms(right arm for the most part as the wii-mote is moved more than the nunchuck) tended to be moderately sore for a day or two. Nothing serious, but definitely a noticeable feeling. This is coming from a person who exercises moderately and does 75 pushups daily.

its not that exciting however, i rather exercise normally >.<, although its great for the high amount of obese kids.

You arm is sore from exercising and possibly stressing muscle groups not normally used everyday like that. Even pushups won't exercise muscles used in such a huge range of motion the wii uses. However, since there is no resistance...the wii can't be that great as an exercise program.
Maybe it's good for cardio for those that get their heart rate going playing this.

I would say that if you are a real athlete...its not a big deal but if you are a person who sits on their ass all day, then yeah, it will work you out!

I honestly don't believe that the Wii can be considered a workout. You're moving around a little, yeah, but honestly, it's not a workout

Boxing is a decent workout. Other sports... not so much.

lol it doesn't need to be, but some people get way too into it and move way more than they need to.
