Losing weight - it's happening to me :)

Ryan

Lifer
I haven't been keeping track of how much weight I've lost - but none of my pants fit anymore. I can easily pull them off without unbuttoning them, when a month ago I had to put some effort into just buttoning them.

Cool beans 🙂

Rock on. My dad (of all people, usually completely oblivious) mentioned that he thought I was losing weight the other day. Kind of freaky, and I had to leave.

For the love of god.... HOW do you do it you 'formerly' fat bastard!?!@

I need to lose a bunch. I have made small strides in my lifestyle, but it's not enough.

Well, I moved out on my own a month ago. I tend not to eat food when I can't afford to fill my cabinets with tonnes of it! 😛 I've actually started running at a nearby walking park a few times a week, when I've never exercise at all in the past two years. IN reguards to food, I eat two 3oz tuna pouches a day, with some fruit, juice, and soymilk mixed into the jumble - about 1000-1500 calories a day. Of course, a gallon+ of water helps greatly too 🙂

It's amazing how your diet will change when you're the one paying for the food 🙂

Problem is, I am the one paying for food, and I'm still a fat fvck. I visited the doctor today and they put me on a scale and I was honestly embarassed. Gotta start trying harder.

I'm a cheapass by nature, so I guess that helps me. I refuse to eat out, don't carry cash on me to prevent me from buying snacks, and if I drink anything carbonated, it's diet or 7up Plus+.

If anyone else is interested I lost a total or 45+ pounds in one year. At first I starved myself, not intentionally. I was always on campus working and studying and by the end of the school year i lost 30 pounds. I still looked fat though. Then in the beginng of summer i started to excercise and break my meals into 6 small ones a day. I lifted weights 3 times a week and ran 3 times a week. It even got to the point where I can run a 3 miles non-stop. By the end of this summer I lost 45 pounds in total since a year ago. Actually 15 pounds if you are just counting only the summer, but I think what really happend was (my fat was burning and muscle is building) Right now i look pudgy but not fat. I went from 265 - 220. woot~!

Sorry for stealing your thread. I know how it feels to loose weight and not fit your clothes anymore. Its great, and i know exactly how you feel! congrats and keep up the good work!

i need to lose more weight..

woot!

im not sure if im loosing it, but pants are definately fitting better. I want to go down to 145-150lbs.

I've lost about 25lbs this year mostly via all the cycling. I eat well for the most part, but I don't make much of an effort to control portion sizes. You can do that when you're doing 15+ hours on the bike every week. 😛

There is no way I could spend 15 hours/week on the bike. Probably in the region of 6 max.

It's what you gotta do if you want to race. Guys like Lance probably do 30+ hours most weeks.

Losing, not loosing.

But who the hell cares... you're doing great. Keep it up. I've established a fairly solid YMCA morning workout routine, and I'm on my way too. I love it.

I heard he eats breakfast, lunch and dinner on the bike. Does he ever leave that machine?
😉

He's gotta find time to bang Cheryl Crow sometime, right? 😛

Seriously, a pro centers everything around their training. They eat, ride, eat more, and sleep. No unecessary activity whatsoever. I recall Tyler saying he never even walks his dog during the season to save his legs.

Do you lift? That's the only way you'll put on weight if you're one of those ectomorph kinda guys.

Excellent and congrats! I'm in the same boat, but my loss has been concerted and monitored. I'm down 31 pounds since Feb. 1 and none of my clothes fit me properly anymore. I can't clip my keys and load my pockets with change anymore. I really need a belt. 😱
