5 trash bags full of clothes ready to be taken to goodwill because they're too big to fit

(and a 6th in back that's getting thrown out... underwear, anything with a tear, etc)

great job man! How much did you lose?

I have experienced the same thing, although I am actually having to give away some brand new clothes (size 36 waist which is now 4 inches too big for me).

Congrats!

Grats! I've been trying to drop about 10lbs..but no luck yet. Maybe I should try switching from beer to scotch?

I've dropped 25lbs since December. I put my pants on today and tightened my belt all the way to the last notch. My pants were still falling. Trying to lose 15lbs more and get to 180lbs so I'm not sure whether to go ahead and start getting replacement clothes yet or not.

congrats! losing weight and keeping it off is one of the hardest things to do. i dropped from 260 to 225 a few years ago. i'm back up to 230. i hit a wall at 225 and couldn't seem to get through it. then i gave up. :p

i need to start something back up again.

someone turned me onto this crazy diet called burning more calories than you take in :p

lifestyle changes, really. I just kinda woke up one day and got serious. cut all the junk food out of my life (especially the liquid calories, soda's a killer), started walking places instead of driving, and put myself on a strict 700-1000 calorie/day diet (which is on the extreme end, but my doc is aware and I go in for blood work every couple months to make sure everything's alright)

Great job man!

I had lost ~30 pounds a few years ago and mostly kept it off. I've never been fat but was just a bit flabby I guess (6'0", 200 at the time). I had let myself gain 10 of it back, so I dropped it again over the last few weeks and got back to 170. I actually can see abs now (first time in 20+ years) so I'm going to try to drop another 5-10 and see what happens.

Haha, this was actually my new years resolution. A bit too much beer makes the gut grow fast. You won't drink nearly as much scotch that's for sure :)

Kudos to you on the results, but damn man... that is overly extreme. Unless you plan on maintaining that caloric intake for the rest of your life, you need to prepare for gaining weight back as soon and you start eating more again.

Exercise and more vegetables, smaller portions. This ususally works.

...He's burning more then he's taking in, which means when he's done losing weight he can eat more to stay at the same weight. Granted, it will probably be less then prior to attempting to lose weight but if he ate 700 calories a day forever he'd probably die eventually right?
