Losing video while docked with port replicator ...

Laptop: Dell M90 with Quadro FX2500
Dell port replicator
Samsung 19" LCD monitor

I just replaced my D630 with an M90. Both units are compatible with my port replicator. I docked my M90 for the first time ... booted her up and everything seemed fine until the Win XP desktop appears. The audio stutters a little and the screen goes black. The laptop is running fine ... but no video.

On a lark I unlatched the laptop screen few inches and then re-locked it and voila ... the video returns to my 19" external monitor.

Anyone have any ideas what the hell is happening here?

I appreciate your input. Thanks ...

Sounds like just a setting you need to find. When mine goes into presentation mode it automatically matches resolutions with a list of monitors i've used with the laptop, sets wall papers, shuts off the laptop display, makes the main monitor the external ect. Also a second option to leave both monitors on.
