Losing keyboard in Win2K and WinXP!

When I was using Win98 and WinME, my logitech cordless keyboard worked perfectly. But,
if I install win2k or winxp (now), I will lose my keyboard at times. Characters don't type, or just repeat
like crazy. It acts up sometimes and other times its fine (like right now, arg) What the hell! :::::::::::|
I have brand new batteries and no virus' but I can't figure it out. *sniff*🙁:|🙁:|🙁:|
