Losing internet connection intermittently

My wife got her MacBook Pro in November. For the past week she said she has been losing internet connection intermittently. All of this is sudden and annoying. When it comes back on it works for 50 minutes to 2 hours then it goes back out. When I click on the wireless network it always shows the computer connected to our network. It has never exhibited this behavior before until last week and every other device that connects to the router never disconnects either. I took it to the Apple store and the lated deleted the network config files and said all was right. Well, it isn't. Anyone have any opinion about this?

Try creating another user account, see if the problem persists, that can narrow it down to a hardware or software problem.

If it is a software problem, what do you think could be the source?

Which network config files did they delete?

How did they delete them?

I've seen issues like this before, but it's always been resolved by deleting all the files in HardDrive/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

If they just cleared out the saved networks in the Network Control Panel or something, that might have helped briefly, but... yeah.

I forgot. Maybe it's the same thing you're suggesting. But that hasn't worked either. BTW, is it possible to stop the MacBook Pro from constantly looking for wireless networks when it's already connected to one? This may be part of the problem.
