Losing hair..

Switch to a different hair style. Mine started thinning, then I went to a stylist that showed me a "comb forward, flip up the front" look that looks really good.

Some people can pull off the shaved head thing too.

Comb Over if just for the entertainment of those around you.

Comb overs are indeed funny!!!!
Do the combover, and post a pic so we can ALL mock you together!!!

LOL - I refuse to comb-over!

Also, shaving is out of question. About the only reason I like my hair is that it has always served well enough is covering my misshapen melon.

I'm already sporting some variation of the brush-forward-flip-up-do. After I finally replaced some light-bulbs over the bathroom sink, I noticed that the base of the flip-up was looking pretty thin and sparce. My wife said I was lucky I couldn't see the top of my head, as there was more scalp showing through there as well. 🙁

Is Rogaine a permanent, life-long thing, or can I stop after 6 months/1 year if I get results?

Mine's pretty musch gone on the top. Now I keep the sides really short. Mrs. Elektro has seen pictures of me when I was younger and had more hair, and she says she prefers it the way I am now.

Of course, she could just be saying so to be nice.

I shaved my head. Haven't regretted it at all. It's so easy, looks good, feels good, etc.

There was this twat at this place I used to work at who combed his hair over. It was atrocious. He had about 8 strands of hair that he would keep about a foot long, and then PLASTER with CEMENT to the other side of his head. It was insane. It was hysterical to see him come in from a windy/rainy day, because it would all flip back over and be hanging down to his shoulder.

I also tell my wife that I don't care that she's put on a few pounds and that DD breasts aren't very attractive.

(and just for clarification, DD breats rock)

Mine's just starting to recede at the temples, and being replaced with vibrant growth on my back... I too know the woes of a misshapen head, so shaving/buzzing won't be an option for me either. I voted lose it gracefully, as it's my plan, but when it really starts coming out I don't know what I'll do.

You could kill yourself. Hair is everything.

I feel for your Buddy. I chose the "invest in a hat" option. If I were to lose my hair I'd consider robbing a bank just to pay for decent hair transplants.

Yea..I got a giganto coconut and I'm sure will look just awful bald but you know what.. I have no choice in the matter. When the rest of my hair goes it goes and thats that. I'll just have to learn how to live with it and so will the rest of you dudes who are losing hair.

LOL - same. Mine's been receeding slowly for years, but now it's to the point where it's getting thin at the center and top of my head as well. All those years of shrugging and saying "I don't care" and that "I'll just let it go" have been forgotten and I'm entering the beginning stages of panic mode.

yup. i changed to the "cut it short" route. gonna go with this for awhile to let people get used to it and then maybe take it all off after a few cuts. then i'll look like this 😀

Well if you wait until you're already bald there isn't much you can do. Aside from surgically reinstalling your new back hair into your scalp. Those pills and creams generally just help you keep the few scraps you have left, very few actually regrow any hair.

I'm going bald too...I'd decided to just let it go and start cutting it short. Those pills have...sexual side effects, that I'm unwilling to risk dealing with.

I was being very sarcastic 😉 . I started losing my hair when I was 20. It wasn't bad but I knew it was coming. By 24 it was frustrating but still manageable. At 27 I was flatout fscked and just shaved my head. I had about 10 years to get used to the idea, as I knew that ultimately I would just shave my head before doing the Dennis Franz thing. Honestly, shaving my head was quite liberating. I'd be lying if I said I still look as good as I did with hair, but shaving your head is just like one big "FSCK YOU" to the genes responsible for the loss. It feels good, too.

The nice thing is that I can wear hats whenever I want without having to worry about how much they'll fark my hair before work, date, etc. Plus, some chicks really dig shaved heads. More chicks dig hair, but it's not like we're totally screwed 😉 .
