Losing cable connection, seems like it's not renewing IP address

This just started happening lately and it's really becoming annoying. My
PC keeps losing the cable connection and it seems because it's not renewing the IP address. The only way I can get the connection back is to unhook the cable modem and power to the router then just wait about 30 seconds and reconnect everything and everything is fine. BTW This is comcast internet service.

here's a list of my components:
Linksys BEFCMU10 cable modem
netgear RP614 wired router
D-link AWL-900 access point
ABIT IT7 mother board w/ Realtek RTL8139/810X Family Fast Ethernet NIC
