Lose internet connection when turn on computer

All lights on cable modem ON. Turn on computer. Immediately the botton couple of lights start blinking. No internet connection. Works fine on another computer.
Using the onboard LAN on a ECS K7S5A. Worked for years.
Using a Belkin Router. Have switched ports on the router. No change.

Ideas?

Well may be got tired after working well for years.

Probably need a new NIC.

Disconnect the computer from the Router and try to debug the computer's network settings.

In General you can debug the Network Setting of the computer following these steps.

Step One. Check the Network parameters in the Computer?s Device Manager. Make sure that the drivers are installed correctly; there is No IRQ conflict, and No Ghost installation. http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost

Step Two.Verify Basic network setting in the OS: http://www.ezlan.net/Installing#verify
If the above two Steps indicates that every thing looks good but functionally it does not work.

Step Three. Check (and repair if necessary) the Socket Layers, Winsock, and or refresh the TCP/IP Stack. http://www.ezlan.net/clean#refreshnet

Bad NIC, get a cheap pci nic fom the store. I had a k7s5a that the nic crapped out on me in a week. I just put in a new pci card and used it.
