i lose my internet connection every 30 minutes. it will be okay after i restart it again. 30 minutes later, same problem. anyone has the same problem? can help me?
oh and other dude some more info like your hardware, ISP, connection type, if youre behind a router/firewall and all that stuff would help! dont get me wrong its just hard to answer if we dont know jack about the circumstances...
edit: i hope an elite member or lifer answers next to keep the cool hierarchy goin
junior -> golden -> platinum -> diamond....? (i know im a dork...ha)
need a lot more info. How are you connected? Cable, dsl? What infrastructure? Wireless? Do you have a hardware firewall? Software firewall? Try to list all your revelant info
Still a little too broad. Is it just 1 computer or a group of computers losing the connection. Are their any revelant system events in the event logs? If it is just one computer you may want to consider winsock fix.
yeah if theres other computers sharing the sme connection i would check those out... also look at the event viewer in windows (eventvwr) to see if anything goes wrong...
i used to have a problem with zone alarm where every morning i'd wake up and internet didnt work then id shut it down and restart it and just like that it worked all day... until the next morning... lol check your firewall settings some might have an 'internet lock' feature
What are you restarting every 30 min, the computer, the router, the modem, what?
You'll need to post a lot more information about your hardware to get help. Start with your ISP, your connection type, modem model, and your pc information.
I'm going on the (compleatly unfounded) assumption that your behind a router of some sort. I just had the same problem with a router dropping my connection every 10 min (to the second!). A new router fixed it, but a hard reset *may* have fixed it (I haven't checked yet). And yea, were going to need more network specs if were going to be of any use at all.
I had the same problem with a friends computer. Turns out he had a 32mb video card but the bios was set at 128. As soon as the bios change was done the problem stopped.
