Los Angeles to Crater Lake NP - Most scenic way to get there?

Personally I think if you have time, you should atleast drive though Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP, on the way to Yosemite. I would also highly recommend you take 395 and 89 to I5, and go through Lassen NP and Burney Falls. This would be significantly more scenic than driving through the valley on just I5.

Screw your friend drive straight out there so you can have a car for the summer! Have them come up and visit you.

BTW you going to work for the NPS or a Vendor?

I'm not gonna drive out there, but I am going to pay for my car to be transported out there, to L.A., then I'll drive my car, with my mom, from L.A. to Crater Lake NP.

My job is with the NPS.
