I was hoping to put forth a couple of theories about Dragon Age lore now that Inquisition has given some interesting information. I don't read the codexes very closely, so this is all based on gut feeling plus other theories that make sense.

1.

Flemeth turned out to be Mythal, elven goddess. Whether she is also Andraste I do not know, though it seems to fit. Maybe there is a side quest somewhere that hasn't been shouted onto every forum that gives a better clue.

Interestingly, at least one person figured this out years ago:

2.

I am thinking that, based on what we learned in Inquisition, Arlathan and the Black City/Golden City are the same place. Arlathan may have been on Thedas physically before, I don't have a strong theory on that, but whether the Tevinter Imperium invaded Arlathan in Thedas and caused it to go to the Fade, or whether it was always in the Fade, I am thinking that the darkspawn curse is magic of the elven gods. Similar to the curse the Keeper seen in Origins had placed on the humans that made them werewolves.

3.

There is dissent about the end of Inquisition, whether Flemeth had her soul taken by Solas or whether she pushed it on him. Either way, I suspect that Mythal/Flemeth's interest in the Old God Baby is somehow related to recovering the old elven gods from whatever happened to them.

Thoughts?
