Lord of War vs. Weather Man

Lord of War is a pretty conventional movie, nothing special, but Weather Man looks like it's the same thing.

lord of war is interesting. i give it a b grade since i didn't care all that much. just interesting to see arms trade type stuff. weather man gets poor reviews from what i've seen

Fairly similar humor, but a little more of a pointed storyline in LoW, whereas Weather Man is a general "story about a man". If you're tired, go with LoW, if you have the patience for a slower film, WM.

I loved both of them, Weatherman is hilarious, dry sense of humor I guess. Lord of War was interesting... gotta love stories about gunrunners.

I didn't care for LoW much, haven't seen Weather Man.

Lord of War is nothing like the previews suggests it will be, so I was kind of disappointed.

haven't seen weatherman yet.

I really enjoyed LoW. I have Weather Man qued up at the moment and waiting to be shipped.

Two awful flicks. You'd do better with Gigli, for God's sake.

i think someone hates nicholas cage...
Actually, I like Nick. I thought he was good in The Rock, and I just picked up Leaving Las Vegas.

You may be the first person in history to praise The Rock for the quality of acting in the film.

<<<warning, no real spoilers, but if you haven't seen the movie, don't read this post, since, if you read it, then see the movie, then, the movie might not give you that ephiphany that I felt after the movie ended>>>

Lord of War was a really well done film. Aside from its too-political ending, the movie as a whole was really well done. Compare the protragonist and his brother, what they do, who they are, and how they end up.

Who's the real "coke addict?" (even after the family....umm.....nm, you'll see).

LoW starts out GREAT, you root for the fun "Bad Guy, who is probably, actually a good guy (like in gone in 60 seconds)." Turns out, this "Bad guy" is the true, hardcore badguy. At the movie's end, you just realized you've been rooting for the TRUE evil guy of the movie all along.

It's the ONLY flick that made me think that he wasn't the bad guy at first, and at the end, he turned out to be the badguy that you want to hate. But due to the character development and events through the movie, you couldn't help but fall for the bad guy. I felt decieved at the end, wonderfully decieved, and satisfied that I was decieved to root for the geniune enemy; the real bad/evil guy... the real enemy that you were raised to despise.

..... Absolutely a genius of a movie.
