Lord of the rings

I seen Best Buy has the trilogy for Lord Of the Rings Battle For Middle Earth and I was just wondering what it is like. Is it pay to play? Is it any good? Are there players etc. Thanks

I remember getting psyched for BFME a while back. BIG disapointment.

Same, apart from the psyched bit. I didnt have much fun with the game, it went into my "not really worth the cash" pile.

The second one was a lot better than the first, but still nothing special.

I never tried the first but the second one is what got me interested in rts gaming. I've played a bunch of them since and BFME2 is still among my favs, probably b/c of the license tho. I mean it's not like Tom Bombadill did anything special when you used him, he just pranced around singing, but it was awesome because it was freaking Tom Bombadill!

OP, have you even researched this game? You seem to think it's an RPG which it's not, it's a RTS. Pay to play? No... it's an RTS. Are there players? It's an RTS, very single player focused.

I bought BFME1 and BFME2 and enjoyed both of the single player campaigns. They certainly aren't the best RTS games, but pretty enjoyable.
