Lord of the Rings: War in the North

I'm still playing DS3, but here's another coop RPG that has completely slipped under my radar until now - Lord of the Rings: War in the North. When I started writing this post I thought the game was coming out next month, but it turns out it's delayed until November 1st. Oh well, since I already typed this up I'll post it anyway. 😛

E3 Gameplay Demo

The way the view looks makes me think this is going to be coop across multiple consoles only (or possibly split screen), but it still looks interesting.

I played an early version of it at PAX East this year. Was quite rough around the edges but it had potential to be rad. It's Snowblind, so that helps.

Yup, I agree with Modeps. I played it at E3 and it honestly wasn't very fun. I'm a fan of Snowblind's work so I was really looking forward to this one too. It's possible the game needs more than 15 minutes to suck someone in--so grain of salt here--but it just didnt do it for me.

Here's to hoping the final build pulls through.

-edit- I just watched the gameplay video and it struck me how generic some aspects of the game seemed. I really wish this game had some kind of visual hook, something to make it stand out. Right now it looks like LOTRO.
