Lord of the Rings book measurement

anyone own any of these books? if so, could give me the measurements of these 2 books/

They are probably about the size of a normal book.

The 2nd one looks lame compared to the 1st set

I have the second one. 9" tall, and the three together are just under 4.5" wide.

I've seen both of these in person but don't own either. I will say that the 1st one is much cooler, it's illustrated as well. It's about 1.5 times taller than the 2nd set.

wow, those are very nice. i'd be willing to buy those or ask for them as gifts.

i still have the old ones (probably 2nd or 3rd edition? i wonder what the original editions looked like), which are standard novel size. they are actually a little awkward due to their thickness and they're very beat up.

I have that and it's awesome but it's not practical to sit down and read, neither is the 1st set in the OP really.

They make nice collectibles but I only ever read the paperback editions that I have.
