lopsided pc audio through home audio

i have a jvc thc40 and my pc plugged through the aux with 3.5 -> rca's
but the audio is only coming out of the right side
when i switch the l/r i only get audio out of the left side

but when connected pc -> tv the audio is balanced fine
when pc-> tv then tv out -> hoem audio: i get the same effect

the very freaking weird thing is that audio will be played a bit out of the center speaker too
switching the surround options doesnt help.
when on stadium all speakers are used but echoey

is the input too low? i dont get what im doing wrong
my cheap $75 5.1 system handled this setup perfect

my computer output is bad
when i had it plugged to my tv it doubled the mono input and fooled me

right now i switched my audio to 5.1 sound and am using the mic connection for sound (rear). it sounds just as the front should while watching this video
