I somehow became 'infected' with this lop.com search thing that appears every time I boot up and can't get rid of it. I tried cleaning my system, using antispyware programs, etc. Whever I reach an unavailable page in IE, it also automatically goes to there homepage.

Any sugestions on how to get rid of this?

Thanks!!!

First step would be to contact the lop.com people and ask them how to remove the registry and other changes they made to your system.

go to IE properties, click settings (under temporary internet files), then click on view files.... delete any and all files referencing that URL

then open registry editor: Start, Run, regedit
Cntrl-Home to the top of it and search (Cntrl-F) for anything containing that site name (use wildcards)
delete any/all entries associated with it

boot

If that doesn't work, use the IE security features and disallow that site.

This happened to me also. All I did was change my homepage back, go to display properties and disable active desktop, and delete all IE history and cookies and temporary internet files. Hasn't come back yet.

Why do these people think that invading our systems with their ads will get more customers? If this is the only advertising plan they have, I laugh at their entire marketing department.!
(HAHAHAHAH)
