Rats! I clicked on this thread hoping to find some seedy pics about the wanton sexual habits of a wayward motherboard...

how bout a needlenose plier?

Is the problem that the screw is bottoming out before it can reach the surface of the motherboard? If so, use a shorter screw.

Auto parts stores have a "goop" that you can put on the tip of a screw driver and it gives it extra grip to take out stripped screws... don't ask me how it works exactly, but it does... it's not a glue, not a penetrating oil... I don't know what it is, but it works =)

That screw actually doesn't look stripped... it looks like he's been using a #1 Phillips where he should be using a #2, maybe... but given the title "Loose motherboard" and the apparent gap between the head of the screw and the surface of the mobo, I'm guessing he's either got too long of a screw (please, everyone do NOT degenerate into teenage humor here, ok?) or it has the wrong threading for the standoff.
