Loopback adapter bandwidth in Vista

Is there any way to increase the bandwidth for the loopback adapter to 1 gbps. I know it was suggested to change it to FDDI medium for 100 mbps speed. This is for use with MS virtual server to save files to the host machine, instead of going over the network back into the host.

AFAIK the loop back adapter doesn't actually limit speed, it transfers data as fast as the applications and OS allows. The 'speed' setting comes into play if there are multiple adapters as the OS will (by default) use the fastest rated adapter as the primary route.
