Here is a LINKto some shots of the card. It's that same Chinese site. The pics look legit. Notice the low profile slug type heatsinks on the rear ram chips. From what I can tell (my Chinese is not up to snuff), it will be a 230 Mhz part.

Wow, I scooped you! Anyway, this card is kind of late to the game. I'm curious as to how they will price it. The GF2/Pro prices are getting fairly close to the Rad 64 DDR already. Depending on how the card performs, it will have to be in that same range.

Oldfart is right, it's a bit late to the game, but at least ATI wont be falling so far behind nvidia. I think ATI will price it around the price of the geforce2 pro, hopefully cheaper.

Which means the price of the 64 DDR will go down, which means the price of the 32 DDR wil go down. (Mucho speculation)

oldfart,
Hmmm, hopefully this will give ATI a small boost as they wait to release the Radeon II. IMHO, I don't think that the DDR and LE prices will go down much at all.... They're "at the bottom" of the budget gaming cards, and unless something in the similar category is cheaper, I dont' think the lower end cards will budge at all. I agree though that the Radeon 64 VIVO will probably drop with the release of this card though.

Yea, looks real. But what I'm wondering is is the extra mhz will do much. The radeon doesn't seem to scale very well with higher mhz. The Radeon LE at 143mhz (w/ hyper-z hack) doesn't perform much lower than a retail Radeon 64mb DDR at 183mhz.

I have a Radeon VIVO clocked at 215/215 and I only get about 10-15fps increase at 1024*768*32. If the SE is clocked at 230/230 I'd probably only get another 10fps on average increase.

Me thinks the SE is a waste of expensive RAM and cheap silicone.

RagingGuardian, look at it this way. A 230 MHz Radeon SE will get you a 20~25 fps increase over the stock Radeon. That is what the review sites will focus on. Of course that is only 10 fps over your o/c Radeon, but it is a 20% increase none the less over default.
