Looks like the selection committee doesn't like Duke

Only team Duke has to worry about in their region is Texas.

If they win that one, they get to lose to Kansas in the Final Four

memphis has the best region. Zags and Bruins are way overrated.
Villanova got the shaft, their region is stacked.

So does anyone have any light on how the selection committee places a team. I just know Cal is shafted by playing in the Atlanta region as a 7seed, but their going against NC state as the 10th seed.

That's pretty much a home game for NC state. Plus I don't get to see my team play (especially since they have a bracket in oakland this year :( )

A rematch with Cal :) Just what we(NCSU) needed.

Although, as much as I hate to admit it, I don't think Cal will have much of a problem facing the sinking ship that is NCSU.

how are the zags overrated, if not underrated??

carolina should have been switched with Tenn, but its ok cus of their poor start of the season. However, they are the second best 3rd seed after gonzaga, and both are better than couple of 2nds.. IMO

Uh...Cal plays NC State in Dallas. They would go to Atlanta only if they make the Sweet 16.

You want to talk about getting shafted? Look at Illinois. They are the no. 4 seed and they have to fly all the way out to San Deigo to play Air Force. If they win that game, they must play either San Diego St. or Washington. Illinois is the top seeded team in that venue and they are the furthest (by far) from the site.

Struggling in their WCC tourney. Being in an understacked conference to begin with. Morrison's numbers are inflated imo

I'd love to be that confident too, but after watching Cal play UCLA... I just don't know who else on the team is going to step up besides Leon Powe.

I just looked at the brackets, I didn't the venues were that far apart from each other. Kind of strange since Dallas is pretty far from Atlanta

Trust me. The last part of the season was a complete train wreck. We lost to the last place team in the league not once.....but twice. And the games werent even close.

The majority of the fan base is hoping this will be the last game with our wonderful coach of mediocrity, Herb Sendeck.

edit: I guess I sound a bit harsh, but after 10 years of this....it gets to you. Anyways...Go Pack!

Well, the 2nd round and the Sweet Sixteen are a week apart. The teams that advance to the Sweet Sixteen will be able to go back home and practice for that week.

kansas won their conference tourney. they are a 4 seed. tennessee did not, they are a 2 seed. the correct line of rational for your argument should be "maybe you don't pay attention to their nonconference schedules" because that is the only thing that sets them apart.

LoL about how we're kinda dreading our team's performance.. if it makes ya feel better we lost to the last place team (with 1st place in the pac-10 at stake) in our home arena.

GW is overrated. I was hoping they'd have a good matchup early just to show that they can't keep up with a real team despite their high poll rankings.

i was talking about Duke, andyways.
I agree on Tenn. i still dont understand why they didnt switch Tenn with UNC.
kansas' has a pretty 'right' seed, i think. Just because they won a game against texas, should move them up. they were ranked 18 and texas 7. in a regular season game, it wont put them over texas for next week's rankings. To the committe, it should only be another game(s) added to the portfolio.
