Looks like the IT job market is finally improving...

At school last semester there were many interviews taking place for IT jobs. There were more then 40% more jobs then there were graduates. Now part of that is I go to one of the better schools for IT so there is a lot of recruiting, but a large part of it is the market. I've been searching jobs throughout the region and the market is looking good. I think in another year things will be looking up for most of us IT folks.

then you realize you're also competing with graduates from last year and the year before who couldnt get jobs, plus all the unemployed experienced people who got laid off, and suddenly the ratio doesnt look so great anymore!

No matter how good a market there will always be people that cant find work thats just part of it, but I've already had a couple of offers one of which was really good, if I wasn't engaged I would have taken it. The market looks much better now then when some of my friends graduated 2 and 3 years ago.

Its better now because I left the telecom field last week, enjoy my old job boys! 🙂
