Our local ice fishing enthusiasts look forward to the "Almost Annual" Crappie Derby. It has been cancelled a few years due to lack of ice/too thin ice. But it is ON this year!!!!!!!!!!

FYI: What is a CRAPPIE??

I gave up ice fishing a few years ago. I grew up on Sabula Lake near DuBois, PA. It's a private mile long compound full of monster largemouths and stunted panfish. The last tournament I went to was in Ridgeway, PA. I hope the weather is decent for you, have fun!!!

I went trolling in Lake St.Clair a couple times in '04, caught a couple good sized pickerels and a couple perch. Used to fish a lot when I was younger though. Now I'm not so sure about eating the fish out of that lake! There is a lot of talk about invasive species doing hardcore damage.
