i'm now at 956 and mucman's at 961. it's coming right down to the wire considering we started almost a month ago with these numbers: 755 for me and 861 for mucman. wow! i just noticed the numbers...that's weird! 200 for me and 100 for mucman. too weird! anyway, it's going to be close, so keep your eyes open for the final thread with the results of the race!

They'd be pretty bad at SETI because of the tiny cache and horrible RAM speeds...you might want to consider running RC5 on them.

I think I read somewhere that a 66mhz 486DX-2 would get around 1wu a week. I'm not sure if this is accurate or not, just what someone was claiming.

A PII 233 with SDRAM should do a WU in about 14hrs on GUI v2.04 ,a Pentium 233 MMX with EDO RAM should do a WU in about 20-23 hrs or so.

i like that we have at least three threads on our race, scott. kinds of brings a smile to my face. this has been one heck of a come-from-behind race for me. started 106 wu's behind...and now am 3 ahead...with only a short time to go...
