Found this to be very informative.

hmmm...I specifically like the section:

New Pre-Banning Feature: Disemvoweling
For those of you who continue to ruin it for the rest of us, instead of just banning you on the spot, we now have a new feature which will note your idiotic comments. It's called disemvoweling and what it does is take the comment in question and strip all the lovely vowels out of it. The comment is then left looking like a jumbled mess, and since this disemvoweling can not be reversed it will stay vowelless FOORRREEEVVVERRR! So here's a warning, if you find one of your comments disemovoweling you better straighten up before the banhammer comes knockin'. This also serves as a notification to other commenters as to what type of comments are NOT acceptable.

maybe anandtech could take a similar stance, different letters.

I think in a sick twisted way, people would want to be disemvoweled. Sorta like a badge of (dis)honor.

Yeah, doesn't seem that them getting busted for screwing with presentations during the trade show improved the general intelligence over there much.

Then again, who actually comments on websites? Its one thing to do it in a forum, but comments sections are worthless. They can be mildly amusing, but only because the rampant stupidity is so astounding.

I think its a great first step. Too many 12 year olds out there that annoy the hell out of people with their stupid ideas and horrible grammar and spelling.
