on the 3rd of jan it would be their 25th aniversery........... i dont think they r gonna make it that far
looks like this christmas and new year's is gonna be really funked up
that sucks. My parents just went through the same thing. Split up right before their 25th anniversary.. and they were divorced 2 days before my wedding this year.
ugh...and right during the holidays? That sucks man...do you have any other siblings? I ask because you might want to talk to some people and see how to help your younger brothers/sisters deal with this, as it could fvck them up royally...hopefully it won't hit you too hard.
welcome to the club. my rents started the whole process in july of this year... yea, thanksgiving was messed up, christmas is probably going to be even worse =/
I don't know which is worse. Your parents getting a divorce after being married for 13 years or 24. I was 12 when my parents split and it just crushed me.... but I got over it in due time and realized that it is all too common. I know it's rough and you'll have to get through a few hard times, but hang in there man. And try to enjoy the Holidays the best you can.
They were prolly staying together for the sake of the kids and now they can't see any reason to stay together. I think that's honorable. Don't be dismayed they have prolly been in hell for the last decade or so. Be thankful that they didn't split when you were 6 which is prolly when the really knew that it was inevitable.
Sorry to hear that, hang tough. Mine split over the holidays as well, after 28 years of marriage. I didnt' know there were problems until I returned home for the holidays since I live 3000 miles from them. That year sucked.
