What's your point? Everyone knows 8xx was rushed (backpats all around).

Last time I checked, the success of a product was defined by how much money it makes.

Well it depends how well you do the marketing on the product. You can take a piece of crap and make an excellent marketing campaign , and many idiots are going to buy it. So good marketing strategies makes a succesfull product, it doesn't mean it's a good product, do I have to give an example of such products??

The X2 was made for idiots like you! You are unworthy to own Intel carlito!

Somebody needs to de-worm the cat again......

Eeverybody knows the INtel chips are made for the idiots that is why the average joe blow gets conned into buying celerons...

I have had INtels, currently own Intels....I like some of the iNtel chips....As of right now I would think about a 920 if I could get a reasonable price mobo worthy of ocing....However if getting it to 4ghz on air is not going to really be anything then a lateral move from my X2 right now...i would rather wait for the Conroe or AM2 X2's and get a whole new mobo with DDR2...

I tried to stop Felix in Forum issues, but I got called names, and the thread was locked. Anybody else want to try ?

On-topic, it does look like they have some interesting things in the hopper, but I wish some would come out, as I am sick of the "what if" and "when they come out" threads.

Well, I wasn't meaning that to be store specific, but if you apply it to a broader sense, you get the idea. More public face.

But the bottom line is you would go Intel again in a hartbeat because they are just that good and getting better. Conroe is going to be fabulous! :)

And dont knock your average Joe Blow. He keeps AMD in business too ya know! :p

BestBuy is great because they sometimes have great deals on AV equipments. Computer enthusiasts just don't drop by BB and buy a computer, but average Joes can actually get a decent deal on a desktop once a while. Of course my home theater equipments are mostly from BB and home theater PC components are 100% NOT.

Average Joes don't buy AMDs, only if you knew a little about public perception and today's marketing schemes. No one disagrees that Conroe will be good, heck anything will be good compared to current netburst design. However hating on AMD is simply immature.

Intel is finally leaping ahead. Those who disagree are just too backwards in their thinking.

Intel is the future, again.

Umm, no felix. It's called, playing catch up for the next year or so. Yonah is a good step in the right direction. As long as Intel doesn't pull any blunders, I can see them taking some of that market share back that they lost to AMD, but that's about it. I see fierce competition coming and both companies will most assuredly will have to be on their toes. Not a lot of room for mistakes here.

Just PM a mod with some of his quotes. Much more effective.
Oh and guys. Just ignore Felix. If you don't feed them, they go away...
