Grrr ... gf is moving out and it looks like I'll be moving back home with the parents
Oh well, atleast I won't have to pay rent. it's gonna be hard since I've lived away from home for 3 years now, and then I have to go home and share the house with 3 other ppl.

how old are you? I am pretty sure that i am going have to move into my parents just for this coming summer. It depresses me cause I am 26!

So when your gf moves out it automatically means it's time to move home?

Why can't you get your own place? Was GF paying the rent? I don't understand... 😕

Yeah... having the GF move out should save you a bunch of money... Keep apartment + HDTV or something just cause she's gone 🙂

her income was helping us pay rent among other bills. So, so to speak, I would need a roommate, but I can't live with another guy.

Find a cheaper place?

it happens - my wife and I are going to have to move in with her parents for a few weeks (maybe months) as the house we were buying has fallen through. We've brought another and are waiting for the chain to complete 🙁

The offer we had on our flat was to good to put on hold so it's just one of those things

Get parents like mine.

They nag once in a while, but they're fine with my girlfriend coming over to spend the night. I can't imagine anything else getting in the way of moving home.

Save money, say you're saving for a house, and your parents might not even ask you to pitch in some money.

But you CAN move home?

Is it a one-bedroom place or something? I'd get a roommate before I ever considered moving home.

Congratulations on leeching off their goodwill.

i recommend a cardboard box behind the dumpster at Arby's over moving back to your parents house at age 25
the rent is low

bleh, over a quarter of my paycheck goes to groceries and appliances for the house. I'm not the one complaining about moving home because I don't have enough money.

I've considered moving home a couple times but never have. I ended up moving out the day after I finished HS.

Why can't you have a guy roommate? Check out roommates.com , I found my last roommate on there.

I would consider moving back home as the last option, so bust your a$$ to find a better option.

That's nothing guys. My uncle has been living with his father (my grandfather) for months and he is close to 50 years old.

if you are spending 25% of your income on food you need to find a better job. you should be spending closer to 5-10%, 25% is nuts
