What I have:
EVGA x58 3 way classified
6 gig of OCZ ram forget the specs
2 ocz vertx 60 SSD drives
1 300 gig Raptor
1 WD black 1 terabite drive
2 Saphire 5770 in Xfire
Corsair 750 PSU
Plextor Blue ray burner/ player
Back to a I7 920 used a I7 950 for a little while

6 gig of corsair Dominator ram. unopened and ready to be retured depening on the answers I get from this post.

I ran this system @3.8 ghz with the 920 for over a year and a half with no issues at all. Only things that have changed is the two SSD and the ATI cards and even then it was running good for about a month.

As of today I had to back the system down to 3.2 ghz just to be abel to boot up even tried reformating and still the same problem.

At this Point I belive it is my MB ( never was to crazy about how long it took to boot up anyhow)

Also I can't run my drive's in ACHI mode now with out crashing.

Question is do I keep my 920 and get a difrent MB.
Or get a I7 960 and a new MB a ram.
And what MB's would you recomend.

I have right at $800 to spend if I return the ram and abot $600 if I dont retun it.

I don't want to go back to a EVGA board.

AFAIK, Gigabyte makes more popular 1156 socket boards and not the 1366. Most of the people I know have EVGA Classified or the ASUS P6t V2 Deluxe, etc. Look towards those two brands, as they have been reliable for the systems I've seen. Gigabyte makes solid stuff but I have no opinion on their 1366 boards. If I missed any specifications you were looking for, sorry. I just wanted to give you a general idea of reliable boards. Oh, and, I HAVE heard of problems on the ASUS P6T, but again, I haven't personally seen any of the problems. I would drop the $200+ RAM, and keep the 920. Some cheap OCZ Golds, or G.Skills work just fine...What cooler for your CPU?

And thanks Mister Donut:
I EVGA makes good Boards I just dont care for the long post time in the Bios when you start it up.
I also don't care for the heat pipes and sink they use for the Noth and South bridge It seams to get rather hot and made to be water cooled more so than air.
