Looks like I finally decided what to do for the honeymoon

I'd like to take the woman somewhere she has never been and would really prefer somewhere where I won't need a car so I've decided on New Orleans. Plenty to do (live shows, Bourbon Street, casino, etc).

Planning on staying here.

The woman has yet to travel the US and I only have a short period off of work. Plus I'll be on call (phone support) the whole time. I plan on taking her to Europe for three weeks in the spring (Scotland, France, England, Germany, Austria, etc).

Have you checked to see if that hotel is available when you want?

The Inn is all booked up marti gras for like 10 years other times of the year is not much better.

But you have excellent taste in hotels, no need to sleep on a honeymoon.

Maybe he wants to start off on the right foot financially rather than blowing a ton of money on a more expensive vacation than he'd ever take otherwise at this point in his life? If they enjoy themselves, there's no problem.

Edit: nevermind, Minendo already answered. My fiancee and I were considering going up to Vermont and spending a few days in Boston before we got a killer deal in Maui. We'd have enjoyed ourselves plenty in New England though.
