Power just went out and came back on after a few minutes. Winds are gusting to well over 30-40mph and the lightning is terrible. Should be an interesting night. All I am waiting for now is the tornado sirens.

hell is actually when the tornadoes come and the power goes back out, but stays out because the buildings no longer there.

That storm did something I have never seen before - it snapped the metal poles of basket ball hoops in half. My neighbor had that hoop for 16 years and it "died" today.

Nothing I can't handle. After living through Hurricane Hugo in Charleston, SC I am ready for anything.

Biggest problem for us right now is the flooding. The river is now over 12 feet above flood level and still gaining since it is pouring again.

I'm in upper Illinois (Lake Zurich), and I was out assisting police and fire yesterday when we got hit hard. It was all blowing north of us, and in a matter of 5 minutes, the winds completely shifted and we had an enormous system right over us. For a minute, I was staring right up through a funnel cloud that had formed. The entire system was rotating, with lots of little systems in it, producing rain, hail, heavy winds, etc. It was sweet

The wind destroyed our green house at work over the weekend. Took about 10 minutes is all at like 3 in the morning. They watched it get torn apart on the camera system.
