Because it's a really stupid idea? Hearing a bunch of fat guys (unreal engine joke) swear over and over again while they rip people's body's apart can only be appealing for so long. The game was waaaaayyy to gimmicky to begin with. The only thing that they had to bank on was how rude 'n crude it was, and that obviously didn't get them very far.

Sure, it got good reviews, but what huge budget game doesn't anymore? It pretty much seems like if you poor tons of cash into your game, you'll get a good review regardless of how bad it is.

I didn't like the demo so I didn't buy it. Seems pretty simple. The early gameplay vids looked awesome but it didn't end up playing that well.

I feel bad for People Can Fly, I think Epic forced a lot of changes into the game that probably weren't for the better. The characters look generic as hell, though the environments looked pretty from what I did see (demo). From what I understood reading about the game, it is short as hell and only a few lvls where compete for high score in its other mode.

The game should of come out at a $40 price point to start with considering the amount of content in it with no multiplayer.

To be honest it just seemed too lowbrow and juvenile. It might have been fun with multiplayer, but no multiplayer. Its too bad, as it looked like they put some effort into it. I hard to believe someone thought this was a good enough concept to base a $60 game on. I did not play the demo or retail game, but I just got the impression that it was trying too hard to be cool, hard core, extreme, leet, mountain dew, etc.

Zero re-playability for it. I even gave up on the echo trials after a while.Don't get me wrong, I did have fun while playing it but I like to play my games again and again, I don't like expensive disposable plates and cutlery. Maybe I'll try to pick it up later on, if only to justify the money I spent on it.

It also made me think twice about getting Crysis2, with all the controversy around it. Luckily one of my friends got it and I tried it before deciding against it for good. I wish I did the same with BulletStorm.

I couldn't even make it through the demos opening narrative. I know my ADD isn't quite that bad, it just didn't hook me at all.

People just don't know how to shop. Portal 2 for PS3/PC at launch for $30, Crysis 2 Limited Edition for $30 at launch, and on and on. Heck, even Orange Box was $35 at launch and $30 a couple weeks later and they were calling that the "deal of the century" even at $60.

Vote wif ur dollurs pplz.

I do not see the use in buying bulletstorm when brink and duke nukem forever are right around the corner.

On top of brink and duke, valve is supposed to be releasing a lot of new left 4 dead 2 content.

With left 4 dead 2 content on the way, duke nukem forever,,,,, why even bother with bulletstorm. Epic probably picked the worst time this summer to release a game.

If they bothered to release a good game, the bad timing probably wouldn't have mattered.

really, no MP???? Wasn't the whole point of the game to get points and rack up a score. yeah, thats fun by yourself.

Are you sure it doesn't have MP? I could have sworn it did.

I've heard it's severely infected with consolitus. :\
That & Epic has quite happily decided that PC gamers don't matter since UT3's time.
That's said that quite clearly, so i've no interest in giving them my money anymore.

There are plenty of good consoles games. This is simply not a good game regardless of the system.

I really wish people would stop using that as an excuse for why a game is bad. It sucks for console players too :\

lol, Serious Sam, while awesome and I am a huge fan of SS, has no real story, is linear as hell, and mindless shooting. How bad is bulletstorm if it's a dumbed down SS clone?

This thread is about why no one is playing it on PC, not why it is a generally bad game. The "consolitis" is partly to blame and a valid complaint.

Played through on the PS3, good game, not great, but definitely entertaining. It really starts to pick up a little after the giant remote control dinosaur, and they do manage to flesh out the characters a bit. The multiplayer is fairly limited in scope, but the singleplayer is worth going through at least once.

I picked it up when it was $40 on Amazon using $20 in credit I got from pre-ordering another game.

What's so bad about BulletStorm? It's really not a bad game, just overpriced. I enjoyed it in the same way I enjoy moves like Commando or games like Contra. It's total over-the-top action & violence. The graphics and environments are beautiful -- no running around in generic brown sewers filled with crates. There is a great selection of weapons that are a blast to use. The dialog is cheesy and loaded with swears.

So what if it's not Deus Ex? Just enjoy it for what it is.

It's a ripoff at $60, but at $20 this would be worth every penny IMO.
