Looks like Assad and poison gas concerns justified.

I doubt he used "poisonous gas".

Congrats on the idiots above trying to compare the use of lethal gas to using tear gas on protesters, though. You guys really are Total Morons (TM), and I want to award you with that moniker, effective today but unlimited recharges.

Are those kids we killed in drone strikes?

Well, if you could read you'd also have read me clearly state that I know there's a difference between lethal and non lethal. So there alone, your point is moot since you fail to read.

The act of attacking your own people however... that's the same.

As we saw w\ the #occupy movement... Many people cheered at the policy using any force they chose against american's actively using their now diminished rights to assemble and speak freely against the corruption in our government.

These idiots who were cheering on the police committing felonies against citizens are the idiots. But then when it happens in another country you pretend it's the other way around. We arm rebel resistance in other nations to overthrow governments.... but then when our own people simply protest all that's wrong w\ the country they're gassed and hit w\ audio concussion weaponry that can cause serious damage to people.

The picture I posted is sickening... an elderly woman who was assaulted by police... but none of you upstanding citizens care because you don't want to think about how wrong all of that stuff was.

See... the lack of replies proves my point.

None of you guys want to break the double standards you hold for every other country in the world.

You guys don't want to address all of the atrocious things our own government does... but you want to talk about things happening around the world that for all we know are even instigated by acts of our government.

Also I'm going to leave this here yet again. Former presidential candidate General Wesley Clark talking about how the government had plans YEARS AGO to take out the governments of Iraq, Libya, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Sudan.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LTdx1nPu3k

I'd be interested to know what influences our government has had on the turn of events in Syria.

Our government/military has multiple plans/contingencies for most coutnries in the world that we do not consider to be stable allies.

You also fail to note that the occupy movement caused far more physical damage than the tea party ever did, by magnitudes of order. I have no doubt that some abuse of power occurred, but that is the exception not the rule. You fail to note that too. For you to compare the situation here with Syria is absurd on the face of it, yet you fail to appreciate that very real fact. Basically you fail. Next, tell us how a boil on your bum is really like the Black Death.

You want to try living in some other countries round the world before you start calling the USA that.

I'm not saying that the USA is some Mecca of freedom and light but it's a damn sight better than a lot of places and certainly not tyrannical or completely corrupt country.

occupy_seattle_pepper_spray_.jpg

Look at the amount of people trying to immigrate to the US from countries all over the world, compared to the number of people within the US that are trying to emigrate to those same countries.

Even look at the numbers trying to emigrate into any country(A) from ALL over the world; compared to those that want to immigrate to the US from that same country (A)

I don't want to blow my horn as second responder on this thread when I said, " I may hope that the Haybasusa Rider link is wrong, but I can well believe that Assad is crazy enough and desperate enough to resort to using poison gas. "

But I refuse to call Haybasusa a liar when his initial data post came from the normally reliable NBC news.

And more a wake up call for us all, just because someone said something on the internet
or in print, does not automatically make the story of someone else true.
