Looks like a wireless bridge... what are they?

Saw these a few days ago. What the heck are they?

There was nothing that I could see on the side of the street opposite the lower flat object.

Interesting. Might be a detector for traffic, similar to the buried loops used at a lot of intersections in the U.S.

I've never seen anything like that for traffic. If they don't use loop sensors, it's optical around here. Could it be wireless for central signal control?

I believe its for their wireless network so they can monitor it.
