I currently have an old 17" CRT that I want to upgrade to something bigger, and easier on the eyes. I've always ran an 800x600 resolution because anything else makes things just too small.
I've heard that LCDs are easier on the eyes, and they are also more convenient, but the 1280x1024 native resolution scares me. What's the point of getting a BIGGER monitor when you have to run it a resolution that makes everything SMALLER.
What's the deal here?
PS. I also play FPS games so game performance is also important to me.
