Considering upgrading from 1080p to 1440p. Main use will be gaming. Games like COD, Rust, Siege, etc... Secondary for Movies and Youtube.
Looking for 27" only 32 is way too big for me. I hear IPS is superior to VA and TN. There's a lot of options to pick from just want to hear some of suggestions. Would like it to be 144hz but would be okay with a minimum of 120hz at least. Price would like to keep it under $600 but the cheaper honestly the better. Sorry for asking such a broad question but I've been using 24" TN 1080p monitor for 7 years have little experience with monitors. Thinking I'll enjoy the upgrade from 1080p to 1440p specially as I do plan on upgrading to a 3080 next year. Location USA If that's relevant.

Thank you much!

there's offering from ASUS Predator, GIGABYTE AUROS, MSI Optix, AOC, and Samsung. first you need to decide curved or flat...
i have the Lenovo Legion, very good budget option. not the best visuals, but reliable and nice solid look to it.

That's the problem there's over 10 different 1440p options at 27" ranging from 5 years ago up to now that's why I was asking for specific models in general. Honestly I have not looked into any of the Lenovo Monitors, going to check it out.

After a month of looking and reading and watching reviews I have narrowed it down to two. #1 HP Omen 27i and #2 Dell S2719DGF but the Dell is TN panel, which is not necessarily bad since the 1080p monitor I have now is also TN and I am very satisfied with how it looks.

Excellent. I'd suggest IPS if you can swing it. I own the AcerXB270hu and have been really happy with it. It's pretty old and possibly on its way out sadly so I'm looking around myself.
I didn't have a preference when I was searching but after doing a lot of research I narrowed it down to one of my top choices that I would get and that one does have IPS. All though I have 144hz TN panel and for 6 years and I have been 100% happy with my purchase but don't mind the upgrade to IPS when the time comes.

I searched around for months, and narrowed my select down to two monitors, which I have linked below. I ended up going with the ViewSonic, and I have been extremely happy with it. It doubles as one of my monitors for work (I work from home) as well as one of my monitors for gaming. I was unsure on the curved display, but now I love it. I also love the deep blacks that VA panels give, and it has HDR that works about as well as windows HDR can. But the LG is also a very good monitor.

Thank you I had the LG model you posted on my top picks before narrowing it down to just 2. Have you tried the LG in person? Going to check both of them out. Thanks

I have, and the LG is a very nice display. The pixel response times are slightly faster than the VA panel the view sonic has (NanoIPS is just a faster technology). I have owned lots of IPS displays before. What made me go VA was the color quality, and in this case, that the ViewSonic was a certified AMD FreeSync Premium Pro display (As I have an AMD video card). It still works with nVidia. ViewSonic does offer a GSync 27" 1440 display also, only its not curved, and is IPS instead of VA.

Thank you for your input I will also consider this View Sonic as an option as I had not previously considered a View Sonic before when I was looking.

The L1A seems to have a higher top for refresh (170 vs 165) and I believe it also sports the Extreme Motion Blur tech.

The VG27AQ sheet says that the L1A model is a newer version of the monitor.

Most likely they are pretty similar overall.
