Looking to upgrade Radeon 5670 on the cheap.

I've had my (Lenovo) computer for about 2 years and I'm happy with the performance but I wanted to squeeze a couple extra years out of it, I have a dual core processor E5800 3.2ghz and the PSU is about 300w, anyway I'm looking at a couple of upgrades and I thought the GPU would be worthwhile.

I don't do much gaming and I don't want it to be too loud, recommendation would be appreciated and I'm looking to spend $75 or less.

This GTX 650 for $90AR would also be a good option: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127703

It's about as fast as the 7750, and is price-competitive.

While there are faster cards just over the $100 mark, I wouldn't be tempted by them - you'll be fairly CPU-limited even with a 650 or 7750. As for cards under your $75 budget, well, none of them are worth buying. The 6670, which is about 10% faster than your card, still sells for about $80, so clearly, $75 isn't going to get you much. You need to get out of the $75 range to get something better than what you have. They improve dramatically with each additional $10 spent.

If you're looking to squeeze extra years out of it and don't game, why not just add an SSD? I can't see any other upgrades really being worth the cost. If you're going to do "a couple of upgrades" you might as well just build a new system.

I should get my SSD drive today, thanks for the suggestions I was kind of eying the 7750 but I wasn't sure if I was missing something more obvious that might be less expensive, the only other upgrade was to install a usb 3.0.
