looking to upgrade my vid card from Geforce 2 MX

what do you recommend?? i have a Geforce 2 MX in my P4 1.6 system. my vid card really is the weakest link in this system. What would you recommend i upgrade too. i'm hoping to stay in the $150 to $180 range.

I have the ATI 8500 in my XP 1700 system. would that be sufficient for this system?? also, what is the difference between the 8500, 8500LE, 9000, and 8500 OEM.

thx.

If you want serious performance at all, stay away from any NVIDIA MX parts or ATI VE parts. As far as I can tell, these are the ones that the companies have maimed seriously in order to sell them cheaply. Otherwise, just get whatever you feel like, or what you can get for the least money, depending on what your priorities are. As has been stated, the Ti4200s are a good buy, especially if you can find a 128Mb part with fast ram on it.
