Looking to upgrade my memory...

Currently i have a dual kit 2x512 of corsair XMS memory in an MSI K8n Neo nforce 3 MOBO which has 3 memory slots. Looking to upgrade to 1.5 or 2 GB because BF2 is unplayable at this point... My question is whether it will work to just pop in any memory into the 3rd slot (any brand, size, etc.) or do i need to use the same type and size as the other 2? Thanks.

I hear it's best to use the same brand/specifications.

If you get something slower, all RAM will run at that speed.

Just pop another stick in. Because your motherboard only supports single channel, it won't really matter.
Any brand, any size works.

~No ECC or Registered though.
