Ok, so I've been using a 19" NEC Multisync 90gx2 (700:1 contrast, 400cd/m2, 4ms response, 1280x1024 resolution) for the last couple years and have absolutely loved it, its an amazing monitor and I've had no complaints other than it was *really* bright out of the box, my favorite LCD so far by far, and have experienced very little ghosting with it even while playing twitch FPS games.

That said I'd like to try and upgrade to something a bit bigger, but still similar in image quality and response time, but don't have a whole lot of cash ($~370 is about tops what I've got)

I was thinking of the 22" Samsung 2253BW as a replacement. Has anyone had much experience with this model? Will it offer the same sort of image quality? If not, does anyone have any alternate suggestions?

I was also looking at the NEC ASLCD24WMCX-BK 24" monitor, and had pretty much the same questions I do with the Samsung. its the cheapest 24" I could find that still had acceptable specs, although specs really don't give more than a surface glance at what the monitor truly has to offer.
