looking to upgrade fan on an AMD heatpipe hsf

I've got a 3800+ x2 (939) oc'ed to 2600 w/1.4v that seems to be running reasonably cool 35c idle and 50c under load (mprime both cores for 30min) with ambient temp of 22c (when ambient rises to 28c the idle and load temp go up 3 and 5 degrees)

2 or so questions
1) will I gain much (say 5 degrees) if I upgrade the fan to a 90mm or 92cc with a fan adapter (something like a Thermaltake silentcat)? Would a different 80mm help?
2) when I look at retail sites for 80mm fans they all seem to be for cases, or are they actually for case and heatsink?

I really don't see any reason (nor have the cash) to grab a new hsf.

errata - I can do 2700 @ 1.5v but it adds 3 and 5 more degrees to temps and mprime dies after 5 minuts and I can boot at 2800 w/ 1.55v but can't run prime for more than a minute (if that)

thanks,

You might gain some with a 92mm Panaflow. Any 3 pin fan you can see the RPM's on will work. I'm not sure it will be worth it. Your temps look good at 1.4v.

Not only that, but you've obviously reached the overclock limit of your chip, from what you've said so far. I'd leave it as it is, since 50C under load isn't bad at all for a 2.6 Ghz X2.
