looking to underclock a laptop

my girlfriends computer seems to be overheating. (havent really looked at it yet its only what shes told me so far.)

First i need a program that will tell me how hot her cpu is getting. I told her to download core temp but i guess it doesnt support her processor. shes using a Intel® Pentium® M Processor 715 @1.5Ghz.

Then i need a program to underclock her cpu because i have a feeling i wont be able to do so in the bios.

Recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

RMClock works great. here's a tutorial i followed earlier for my laptop, and it worked out pretty well
