Following is a summary of what did work, but did not work 100%:
(in windows XP)
- matched mac addresses of ethernet on Desktop with Wireless on Laptop
- matched ip address/subnet mask/gateway between the two
- created a network bridge
- would work, however if I didn't have internet explorer going on a page and refreshing every few minutes, it would auto disconnect
- certain apps would make it disconnect entirely anyway (but may be a router problem)
I would like to know if there is an easier or better way to do this. I have no problem downloading say.. a flavor of linux, that program you heard about, and seeing if it does the job, etc..
I just need your suggestions, comments, etc.. thank you!
I appreaciate any help I can get
