looking to set up basic studio type environment

i have nice space with white walls and floors, i've seen some very simple 2 light studios before so how can i do this on the budget for now?

also is dslr really better choice than good point and shoot?

i have canon 6.3 dslr, it should be good for starters?

i'd set up a frame made out of pvc pipe for a backdrop. you can also use pvc pipe for light stands. you'll want a good tripod and head if you don't already have one.

digital rebel is fine.

Good place to start for inexpensive lighting equipment.

You shouldn't need any more than their 400WS units.

If you have a flash you can fire them with that, otherwise you will need a sync cord hooked to one, and the other will fire when it detects the other one fire.
