looking to possibly upgrade my GPU

i currently have a r9 290 and i was curious if it was worth the upgrade to an gtx970 to max all games out at 1080p.. just curious thanks in advance

for most games it's a waste of time, for some Nvidia optimized games it's a good upgrade, example:

Generally no. Once you get to GTX 970 or R9 290 level its either multi-gpu or a Titan X at this point to be really meaningful.

But first make sure it's not your CPU holding you back.

That is disgusting. I'm not touching that game because I can't approve of this ridiculousness.
