hello there people. I wanna overclock my amd64 3000+. I am running it on Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro, wiht 1gb ram ddr400. Can anybody advice me of a good fan to get, I want to overclock it to about 3800+. I will be getting a case that has around 4fans, and I am looking if anybody can advice me of a specific fan to get for the cpu. I been looking at THERMALTAKE TT-SILENT BOOST CPU FAN, Foxconn PKP160 CPU cooler. Any help would be great. thx

Look at the Thermalright XP-90 or XP-120

Best heatsinks on the market hands down. Then just slap a 92mm fan for the XP-90 or a 120mm fan for the XP-120.

That's right, also dont forget the special backplate needed for gigabyte mobos if you choose to to use either of the heatsinks mentioned.

ya, i been doing my research today, and people recommand, the XP-120/XP-90, but the problem is I have a gigabyte motherboard and I need some special of backplate to make the heatsink fit. Look at this ebay link guys, and tell me if this work. The guy is saying "XP-90 is designed to fit all AMD socket 754/939/940 motherboards (*Gigabyte K8 motherboards see below)." what does he mean? does he mean it comes with the backplate?

I know it's available from Thermalright, ask them if they ship to Canada or what stores in Canada carry this item.

One more thing. Which heatsink is better, the xp-120 or xp-90. I heard that the xp-90 is a hassel to install compare to the xp-120
