Discussion Looking to make solar powered RGB LEDs

Hi-

I am doing a small project for my dogs. I am trying to make a solar powered RGB LED collar but am running into issues finding the right parts.

The goal here is to have 3 or 4 bulbs across the collar powered by solar cells that also have the ability to be remotely controlled to change the bulb colors. Is there anyway to get a RGB color controller to be powered by solar as well or are there existing parts that do this that are also small enough to mount onto a dog collar?

I think I may be SOL since all the RGB controllers are huge but any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Doubt you can build it to same quality for cheaper

thanks for that. Yeah its more a project for me to start understanding how these things work together so don’t necessarily care if it’s expensive to do. This one is good but it doesn’t have a cloth cover and it’s not solar powered.

Then you need a solar panel plus charging system plus batteries and marry the two.

You don't need the collar to light up during they day xd.

If you want to do like bt control then esp32 is probably the microcontroller to use.
