Looking to hire PHP/MySQL developer

The site I run is in need of some updates. To that end we are looking to hire someone with PHP/MySQL experience to do a code audit as well as add a few features in. A more detailed list is below.

[*] The current code (to be provided) needs to be evaluated and altered as necessary in order to ensure that it is reasonably efficient, consistent, and secure.
[*] There are bugs (mainly SQL errors and very minor features missing) in the existing code. Once it has been cleaned up these need to be corrected.
[*] A change tracking system needs to be implemented.
[*] The transition script (between site versions) needs to be written and tested.

Requirements
We are looking for someone that has experience in the area. The code involved is not terribly complex, but it does require someone with knowledge of security issues and efficiency in order to bring it all together.

Contact
Please send me a PM with your e-mail address and any additional info (such as website, portfolio, etc). At that time I will e-mail you a code sample (to give you an idea of where the current code sits) as well as the proposal.

Sure. And if you think that someone who picks up a PHP book is going to understand the theory behind security enough to apply it well or will have enough knowledge to write very clean advanced code, then you are more of a moron than I previously thought. A person hires an expert in the field because they recognize that the other person's skills are greater than theirs. The next time your car breaks down (or more likely, you wreck it), I will be sure to hand you a manual and tell you to fix it yourself.
