Looking to get smartphones.

My wife and I are looking for the best bang for our buck for 2 used unlocked smartphones. We would like to spend 100-150 per phone. We were thinking about the Iphone 3gs but I would like to get your all's opinion on it seeing that I don't really know much about them. Any help would be appreciated.

I think the iPhone 4 can be found around $200. I know it's $50 above what you wanted to spend but such a vastly superior phone to the 3gs. I don't think you'd regret it.

I just picked up a Galaxy Nexus for $150. For the money it's a darn nice phone. If your going Apple I wouldn't do any less than the four as your going to be losing a lot in the updates and compatible software.

Agree with above. The 3GS is barely supported now. The 4 is the minimum you should be looking at.

If you want android, then used Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S2, etc.

Are you looking for ATT phones, T-mobile or other?

It has to be compatible with the T-mobile network. The other requirements are that its unlocked and a gsm phone.

Wow, I'm surprised they are going that cheap. But I just visited eBay and an iPhone 4 auction just happened to be ending within 10 seconds and it went for only $185. Granted it was only an 8GB model though. But seems like it'd be a decent phone for $185 for someone that's okay with iOS and that screen size.
